2012 is coming to an end. And as you and I welcome another new year, sometimes (or often times), we fail to prioritize the intangibles that comprises our lives. Because of our busy schedules and numerous activities, we forget to appreciate the beauty of life.
My Mother always advises me to be content with what I have, to work hard for a better tomorrow and to give importance to family. She further reminds me to pray without ceasing. And in connection with these advises, I'd like to share with you some posters I have collated that bespeaks about values and relationships. I hope you find these helpful to jump-start your reflective mood this coming Christmas and New Year.

All quotes are with significance and meaning. End of the world or not, now is the best time to spend time with our loved ones and make them feel that they are special in our heart. :-)
ReplyDeleteMy definite favourite is the image of the aged woman admiring her young shadow!
ReplyDeleteThey are all good....but I will say I like the first one about a few simple tips and the picture of the vegetable Christmas tree. Merry Christmas to You !!!!! :)
ReplyDeletewonderful inspiring quotes today!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the wonderful reminders and the lovely snack. Enjoy your Christmas with your beautiful family.
ReplyDeleteI love all of these quotes.
ReplyDeleteI love all of these - I love the woman in the wheelchair thinking she is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteall the posters are impressive, but what hit me most is the 2nd poster, i think i should really follow these simple tips haha
ReplyDeleteAll of the posters are nice but I love the one about teaching your kids and the one about negative things that might destroy you when you got affected.
ReplyDeleteThese are all great quotes to live by. I was just thinking about the first one. If God is very much a part of our lives, He wouldn't have to step in because He's already residing in us....and our lives would always be full of miracles :-) He should not be the last resort, but rather the first One we go to.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately the atheists and agnostics do not have a relationship with God. Some may probably have but only remember Him in times of need. Thus when they allow God to be part of their everday lives, miracles do happen =)
DeleteThe one that touched me the most and experience everyday is the quote about moms trying to teach their kids about life, i do try, and i get pleasantly surprised everyday that they teach me what life is all about.
ReplyDeleteREally captivating quotes. And lovely reminder that GOD is there for us.
ReplyDeleteThe quotes are inspiring! :) thanks for sharing them
ReplyDeleteHello Farida,
ReplyDeleteHere I am, so beautiful reflections.
I love the most when we are teaching kids about life. Actually they teach us what life is . perfectly agree.
very inspiring indeed.
such a beautiful Christmas tree from the cauliflower
HAPPY CHRISTMAS to you and Fam.
Hugs
These quotes are really inspiring but one that captivated me was the one in the wheel chair. I think in a way, we all have our own disabilities and we don't see the better side of it. Thanks for sharing this post.
ReplyDeletei love all the quotes, really inspiring and charismatic
ReplyDeleteI like the quote on how children teach us what life is about. But everything else is just as inspiring. Thank you! :-)
ReplyDeleteI really liked the Three Simple Tips... Advice to live by.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Farida.
Oh, this is a good read on a weekend morning! Very inspiring quotes, thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI find the last quote so applicable to me especially now. I used to entertain negative thoughts always and it took me to nowhere. But i know much better now. I surrounded my self with people with full of positive vibes and never entertained those who are trying to pull me down. :-)
ReplyDeletemerry christmas farida!
I like the first, third and the last. This is a nice collection of quotes.
ReplyDeleteI like all... but the Four agreements are what I share with the staff during orientations!
ReplyDeleteI like 3rd quote very much. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing these quotes. I'll try to keep them in mind and have a better year ahead.
ReplyDeleteI love that one with the old woman in wheelchair with a shadow of a graceful dancer. Love your quotes, Farida!
ReplyDeleteWishing you and your family a Merry Christmas, Farida! I am so glad I found people like you in the blogosphere!!!!
DeleteOh I get those same advice from my mom, too! :) I hope one day, I can pass on these pieces of advice to my children. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat quotes as always. I especially love the one about how you see yourself being more important than how others see you.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Farida! :)
ReplyDeleteHow you see yourself means everything. True and thank you so much for sharing! Love it
ReplyDeleteOh my Dear Girl I have missed you and your post is just what I needed this morning! You have such a beautiful heart and you share it beautifully!
ReplyDeletei like the four agreements the most! :-) specially this line "what others say or do is a projection of their reality"... the same thing as what you say or do to them too.... so yeah, as much as ignore the bad things they say to you... be careful on what you say or do to them too... because maybe those are just your frustrations... :-)
ReplyDeletemerry christmas farra!!! i missed your blog!!! :-)
The 3rd, 5th, 6th and 8th. They "resound" for me :) Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI like all of them but I like the granny quotes! hihi. :) Cute and true!
ReplyDeleteI like this quote the most: "while we try teach our children all about life, they teach us what life is all about." This is so true. I never knew what's my life as a mother will be all about until my son came into my life. He thought me to be more patient and to smile even with all the problems around. I saw in him the genuine happiness. :)
