Organizing 101

Living in a clutter free environment as well as organizing every aspect of our lives is very ideal. Personally, I am able to aptly work  when I have a spick-and-span desk and I feel calm when my things are in their proper places. As I further matured in years, I realized that orderliness and cleanliness are pertinent to achieving and accomplishing more. Read through to stop feeling overwhelmed and becoming more organized.

1.  Make a list of everything you wish to organize: your closet, wallet and bag for instance. You can further enlist the things you need to do like: a project in mind, the people you need to call or respond to through email. From the list, you'd identify the important tasks from those that can wait or for easy access of the things you need the most.

2. Create a plan to execute your idea/s. By doing this you save on time, space and energy when you have identified what works best for you and what does not.

3. Group together the same things and put them in containers. Through time, I have accumulated things I need and many more things I don't often use everyday. I use plastic containers and tins to keep my chargers, pens and nail polishes and I try to put them inside the drawers to keep my surroundings tidy at all times.

4. Label folders, envelops and boxes to help you identify its contents especially if you plan to keep it out of your reach. That way, you'll know what's inside the box the minute you feel the need to open it  or use an item in case you forget it.

I'm sure you have other tips I may have missed to keep a tidy environment. Would you mind sharing? And what is the advantage of organizing?

  8. Hi Farida! I love your ideas because I am such a slob. I think I would share that once you have a clean environment, don't put off putting it back in order each day. One day you leave it messy, and that leads to more days...and then you have a mess again!

I do love folders for each group of papers. Insurance, work at home, etc. It helps me to find things so much easier.

    Blessings!
