Rocky Turns 1

My youngest nephew, Roque Silas or "Rocky" turned one last October 11th. He was born on 10-11-12. Since my sister-in-law gave birth to her first born and the youngest through the C-section, she wanted her youngest child to be born on the 31st of the month too; the very same date when my brother and her eldest son were born. Unfortunately, it would be too long for them to wait for Rocky's birth. So they thought that 10-11-12 would be a unique birthday!

Kiddie parties at Jollibee are the best! Though a brief 2 hours is allotted for every celebrant to spend their birthday joyously with games and a hosting service from its crew, the guests had an enjoyable and fun time throughout the party after typhoon Santi. And my brother and his wife were very thankful that most were able to celebrate with them!

The R-O-C-K-Y cakes were especially ordered from a former colleague, China Zamora-Uy and her mom, Tita Tina. They were chocolate and lemon chiffon cakes with a thick layer of marshmallow icing. The inspiration came from the birthday cakes of our local celebrities whose names were spelled out. 1. Nice cake! Buti naman pumayag ang Jollibee to bring their own cake. My little girl had her birthday in Jollibee last month, gusto nila sa Red Ribbon lang yung cake :(

  16. Oh my gosh, ang cute! I'm getting excited for Yuri's second birthday tuloy! But wait, no parties na pala kami hehe. Looking back, though, since I gave birth via CS din, I wish I was able to choose the date of his birthday. Kaya lang emergency CS na eh. I wish it was planned like Rocky's birthday. Happy birthday, Rocky!

  19. I'm not sure if my first comment went thru. so i'm making another one. hihi! anyway, like i mentioned in the first comment, your nephew rocky is super cute!! and his mom's idea of making his birthday on 10-11-12 is unique, indeed. the cake's super cool also, not the usual cake we see on kiddie parties. and i also love Jollibee parties. fun for kids and adults alike. :-)

  25. I love the colorful party theme. And the birth date of your nephew is unique I must agree. Anyway, ako naman as early as now I am thinking of what party theme we will have for Matt's 4th birthday. We will still have a simple celebration at home pa din. Saka na sya mag-Jollibee party pag 7 na sya, hehe... Time flies so fast!
