With a ramp for its clients with mobility issues, an ample parking space and a variety of our favorite Filipino cuisines served in an ancestral house; Chef Laudico Guevarra's is starting to be the go-to restaurant in the metropolis.
Yesterday, we celebrated my great aunt's 81st birthday and it was my second time here. I admit I enjoyed eating and tasting the dishes that were served yesterday. The first time I set foot here, my elementary classmates, teachers and I had a reunion after 25 years. My attention then was not on the food but rather on the event of seeing familiar faces again and hearing heartwarming stories. It was a very joyful and rare occasion.

The Food
The carving station. Yes, there were so many choices: bagnet, angus beef, spareribs, gindara to name a few
The main course: Sumptuous array of dishes like beef kaldereta, pork dinuguan, kare-kare, breakfast pasta. There were more than 10 favorite Pinoy dishes available
Side dishes like pizza, spring rolls, calamari
Salad
Dessert. Unfortunately, this area needs a great deal of improvement. They also had a halo-halo station on the opposite side
Birthdays become more memorable with the significant people around you and the presence of food you grew up eating. My great aunt Amy looks fairly strong but she is suffering from all sorts of illnesses. We feel very blessed though to have celebrated her 81st birthday and to see her lively, happy and vivacious.
The selection of food is vast. If you have any foreign friends or relatives visiting, it is best to bring them here so they too can enjoy the food culture in our country. I think the price is fairly reasonable and the ambience is suitable for dining in small and big groups.
