In our search to find a good foot/hand pump for the new Quickie Q7 wheelchair that was purchased recently, my parents and I chanced upon (again) a small restaurant we frequently take for granted whenever we visit SM North EDSA. So I invited them to take the plunge and have a taste (finally) of what our hungry brains were craving for at that moment.
Starving sailor. Thinly sliced rib eyed steak topped with jalapeno-cheese spread, green bell peppers and caramelized onions in an 8-inch sourdough bread. (P235)
Above is the self service counter of Army Navy located at the Sky Garden, SM North EDSA.
Verdict:
We were happy with our orders. My mom and I shared the 8-inch starving sailor which was exceedingly flavorful! I was glad we did this because it was surprisingly filling and satisfying. I personally loved the sourdough bread that was chewy or leathery and the rib eyed steak was so tender. Me on a diet? I burned the added calories in the gym the following day.
Oh and there's more! My mom used her senior citizen discount card. To our surprise, the total bill was discounted a generous 20% off when most establishments only subtracted the food ordered by the cardholder. Let's patronize this place!
Disclaimer: I am not encouraging you to eat this kind of food in a regular basis due to its high calorie content. I blogged about it to introduce this find to those who may want to experience what I have enjoyed.
i will order the burger, hubby the sailor

DeleteDelicious looking sandwiches..yes. to the gym, to keep off the inches. Hee have fun.
ReplyDeleteI went to the gym the following day and lost the calories :)
DeleteYum---both of those meals look delicious, Farida. Looks like you had a great outing... Hope you also found the pump for the wheelchair while you were out.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, all of the pictures on my blog post today were mine --except for one (which was my hubby's)... My pictures have the watermark of betsyfromtennessee and George's have the watermark of Photo by Senior Hiker.
Hugs,
Betsy
Yes they are both delicious. We were not aware that the tires had double lock and found it difficult to pump air when we were trying the pump in the shop. We thought that a different adaptor was need so we did not buy it. We brought the chair to the vulcanizing shop and the double lock was discovered there! Next visit to the mall, will surely get the pump :D
DeleteSounds like a lovely time!
ReplyDeleteYes, we had an enjoyable time!
DeleteMmmmmmmmmmm, both sandwiches are works of art! And the photos you've shared just make me drool. Literally!!!
