The photo below caught my attention while browsing through the various posts in my facebook account. My OC (obsessive compulsive) ways on losing weight was triggered (again) that compelled me to surf the net tirelessly about juicing.

What is juicing? You may ask.
It is extracting the juice from fruits and raw vegetables with a juicer. Proponents believe that juicing is better for you than consuming the whole fruit or vegetable because your body can absorb the nutrients and vitamins better. Your digestive system also is able to rest since the fiber is separated during juicing. Others say though that it should never replace your consumption of the fruit or vegetable in the whole form completely.
This is also good news to those who, like me, is choosy when it comes to eating my vegetables. We can now expand the range of nutrients by including vegetable juices in our diet that we don't normally consume. Similarly the process of juicing is fairly easier than cooking. You just need to invest in a reliable juicer, clean your vegetable or fruit thoroughly, cube them and put in the juicer. In less than one minute, the liquid will flow out and you can instantly savor the fresh and healthy drink you've concocted right at your very home!
Juicing works best if you include exercise to your lifestyle. This way your body won't sag when you start losing all the unwanted pounds. Instead you will achieve a leaner and toned physique when you move your body. And the next time you put something in your mouth, remember the poster below and the effect it will have on your body.

I love fresh and pure fruit/veggie juice! To use a juicer is just on the expensive side. You need lots of fruits and veggies to produce ample amount of juice. LOL But yeah, it's definitely healthier, I agree. I will share in my blog about a discover on this. Watch out for it! :D

ReplyDeleteFarida,so timely your post. I attended a seminar last week and this DOH lady claimed she lost 5 inches off her belly by drinking veggie juice. She hates veggies daw and she had to juice it. I dont have a problem with eating them though. BTW, how is your custom domain? I try checking your dot com pero cannot be found daw

ReplyDeleteI should try veggie juice to lose these pounds away..
ReplyDeleteThis is a healthy post. I really want to shed some inches around my belly so I am interested to try this unfortunately I don't have a juicer. May I'll find an alternative way to juice without a juicer.
ReplyDeleteTry mo Rin bio enzyme. They turn fruit seeds and skin into enzymes which our body needs. Since we can't juice seeds or skin by ourself. Happy losing weight!

ReplyDeleteIt's time I use our juicer. I'm really not a juice-person. But the holidays are coming, it'll be harder to stick to a diet. Haha. Thanks for sharing this.
ReplyDeleteHi Farida! I'm dieting now and my intake consists of salads, soups, crackers, some meats, bread and fruits. I'm curious to try this juicing too. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteFruits are more acceptable to drink than veggies to me although I haven't actually tried it :) My dieting consists of counting calories and watching portions. I seldom eat meat now.
ReplyDeletei might try this one. thanks
ReplyDeleteI have lots of online friends doing this. And it really works for them. healthy indeed. I will try to introduce this to my husband soon. He want to go on a diet kasi.
ReplyDeleteCE 11/13
My mom is really into juicing and we've had a few juicers (nasira na kasi due to frequent use). Ako not so much but I'd like to maybe replace one meal with juice.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds very healthy and effective. I agree that it's always better to include exercise in whatever diet is to be done. :-)
ReplyDeleteI really want to lose weight I shall try this too
ReplyDeleteI'm avoiding foods that can cause me to gain weight. Also, I'm doing a lot of exercise so that I'll be able to get my desired figure. Maybe, I'll try this juicing style. :) Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWe've got a juicer here at home but we seldom use it coz hubby and kids love to munch on fruits and veggies. :D It still comes handy though when we want fresh fruit juice.
ReplyDeleteJuice are effective , they say. Combine it with proper diet and exercise, for sure, you can reach your desired weight in no time.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this. I wonder, will this help reduce my husband's high BP?
ReplyDeleteHi Claudine, yes I think juicing will help lower the BP of your husband. If you study the third photo about the effects of fruits and vegetables to our body, you'll find some items that can actually make your husband's condition better. My Mom is also juicing these days.
DeleteI started juicing early this year. I did lose weight because I accompanied it with low-carb diet and exercise. My main purpose for juicing is actually to supply my body with nutrients from vegetables that I don't often eat like ampalaya. :D
ReplyDeleteHi Farida, responding from Moetalksalot.blogspot.com! Let's definitely follow each other! I just followed you. And I definitely want to juice more after this post!
ReplyDeletemoetalksalot.blogspot.com
I have a juicer at home which is semi-retired, LOL. Now I'm inspired again to use it, thanks for your post!
ReplyDeleteHi Farida,
ReplyDeleteI wasn't sure where to write my answer the question you left at my blog about juicing.lol
Well, I don't really follow any recipe. heheh I just made my own randomly:
2 Cucumbers
1 Red Apple
1 Orange
1 or 2 Carrots (depending on size)
1 garlic
1 Ampalaya
It doesn't taste good all the time though so I just drink it very quickly. :D
My son had us do juicing for a bit. We mostly had the Amazing Green Lemonade that you have pictured but he called it Mean Green. He watched a documentary about it and got interested.
ReplyDeleteIt didn't taste bad. The only drawback was that it was very expensive. I think we should try it again. Thanks for this post.
Juices are great and it is more healthier if the juices are fresh.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very useful post. Something I really need. Thanks for sharing! :)
