Happiness Is... Being Complete!

Please click photo to enlarge and appreciate

The caption of this picture is very true for me. The illustration is even more endearing! It completely defines an ideal familial relationship irrespective of the hardships, the lack of tangible things you can acquire from this world and the comfort it brings.

I also see contentedness painted all over their faces and profound love for each other; making what seems impossible possible. And I am truly blessed because my family exemplifies this. Do you also have the same sentiments?

  1. All I can say is contentment...and happiness doesn't mean you need to be rich.

  3. Loved that picture! It reminds me of when our kids were little. My husband was in sales and often worked late into the night. He would come home and find me and the four little ones all snuggled together in our bed, and one by one he would carry each of them down to their beds and tuck them in.

Last night as I was sitting in bed watching TV before going to sleep, six little eyes were on my bed staring at me--our cats! Life doesn't always change that much..It's just lived out by some of God's other creatures.

    Have a wonderful day!

  4. So, true! Often, it is a matter of perspective such that you focus on your blessings. :)

  5. Wow! I needed this reminder Farida. I am feeling envious, and jealous, and discontent today. Although my life is different, I am still blessed beyond measure.

  8. It is true indeed. We tend to look for happiness in so many things and in so many ways that we forgot to thank the Lord for what has given to us.

  9. My friends and I often say: "We buy things for ourselves, we are happy for a while. We buy things for our loves ones, we feel lighthearted. We help and (sometimes) pamper them, we are contented."

  10. Does anyone know who the artist is and where I can find this picture without the quote? Our pediatrician had this print/painting on his waiting room wall until he retired. He has passed away but I've always wanted to get one like it. Thank you.

    1. Hi Cherie, I'm sorry I don't. I got this picture from a friend as an email attachment. You may also surf the net or you may ask the assistance of someone who knows how to photoshop so he could remove the quote for you.
