Life's daily challenges can be overwhelming at times especially when an unforeseen, discouraging event slowly seeps away my optimism. I've had my fair share of both happy and sad moments - even depressing instances. But I consciously make an effort to be happy at all occasions.
Enumerated below are my quick fixes to lift my mood.
1. I make an extra effort to be in the midst of my nephews and niece. By simply observing how easy for them to heartily laugh at even the simplest task they do; I learn to appreciate the simplicity of life even more. Similarly their hugs and kisses comfort me too.
2. Sleeping keeps me sane, creative and alert. When I was younger, I can forgo this very important activity. As I matured in years, I discovered the pleasure and benefits I can obtain from a sufficient, restful and quality sleep.
3. Exercising releases my happy hormone. In the past, I sweated to lose or maintain my weight. Now, I long for the instant glow and the good feeling I get after I do my gait.
4. Having a thankful heart for both the good and the challenging things that come my way surprisingly makes me feel blessed.
What quick fixes do you do to instantly lift your mood?

Hi Farida! You have some wonderful ways to keep your mood up. I agree with the exercise one. It takes some effort for me to get going, but I'm always happy when I do. It helps make the whole day so much happier.
ReplyDeleteI like a good book too. Time just stands still with a fun story to keep me engaged. I'm reading one now that is not really all that uplifting in story line, but it is so interesting. Love that!
Have a blessed weekend, my friend!

Oh you went back to the blogspot domain...why? Anyway, sorry for my late reply, but glad you were able to fix it. My happiness fix is talking with my youngest nephew who is 5yrs old since yesterday. Even with all of it, I was still happy because we have happy people around the hospital, at home and even in the evacuation center we visited. I surround myself with positive people and it fixes each day! Blogging also is my quick fix!!!
