We arrived at this cozy restaurant a little after six in the evening with just a handful of customers already seated in their preferred tables. So I took the opportunity to look around and captured the pictures below. The buffet spread had three parts: the main courses, appetizers and deserts. I fell in love with the interiors: though old, it had the good feeling and relaxing ambiance to make the dining experience unforgettable in an ancestral house.
Primero Casa Filipino, serves a fusion of cuisine and is located in the residential area of Timog that is slowly getting commercialized. I treated my parents to this buffet dinner after I fortuitously found this great deal from MetroDeal while going through their offerings a week ago. And I consequently decided to purchase it without giving any second thought!
For only P278, one would be able to taste their finest house specialties like (from top to bottom) the butter fish fillet, fritata vegetables, beef kaldereta and caprichon which I loved and consumed like there was no tomorrow! There were many other good dishes I failed to capture but everything in their buffet spread tasted really fantastic. Also, tell the waiters that it is your birthday. They really sing the "happy birthday" song enthusiastically and will give you a birthday cake too!
To sum it up, the experience was worth it! The cost is pretty affordable for such an array of dishes, compared to other restaurants with the same offerings. Try to visit earlier too so you can enjoy the food and the place all to yourself minus the maddening crowd. There is ample parking space for free. And yes, I'd love to go back and hopefully taste a newer set of dishes that are on par with the best I've tasted.
