Prayerfully on the Right Track

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find;
knock, and it shall be opened to you. For whoever asks, receives;
and he who seeks, finds; and to him who knocks, the door is opened.
Matthew 7:7:8 - Jesus of Nazareth

The genesis of September is filled with anticipated consolation, of new friendships, of deep pondering whether to plunge into this whole new microcosm or not, as we continuously look at the brighter side of life.

A new chapter of Kat-Kat, Argin and my life is about to unfold with so many possibilities to look forward to, with great career opportunities awaiting for us, and new learnings assimilated. The desire to work is everybody's goal, more so to be part of a company which will bring out the best in us and discover skills innate in us.

Kat-Kat recently had her appendix removed. She stayed in the hospital for almost a week with numerous tests done initially prior to the operation. My family and relatives narrated how she suffered from the insertion of a catheter and from the pain imminent after the suture was done. With this occurrence, she lost her job as a casual at a five-star hotel, yet, optimistic that a better job is awaiting her.

Argin on the other hand had been teaching in an international school as an English as second language instructor to Korean students. Due to the seasonal nature of her job, there are times when she would only have a handful of students and moments when a flock of learners visit the country to study English. Thus, her income is never stable and this opportune time has come, welcoming her with an open arm.

Likewise, I too have been searching for a job that spells stability. True, I may have work done from home but is never as regular like in the past. The country's fiscal crisis has affected the companies I was associated with, which resulted to the cessation of projects assigned to me.

With heartfelt expectation, we all asked for this grand opportunity. And as we retrospect on the purpose of our adversaries in the past, in many ways, our good Lord has opened a new chapter with a greener pasture. This expedition has taught us to persevere, to be compassionate and be less judgmental, to excel in our every endeavor. We know that we will go through this rough road, despite the myriad bumps along the way with Christ at the center of our lives.
