Not so many weeks ago, my sister-in-law was craving for fish and chips. She is three months pregnant and we’re praying that her baby will be a healthy girl this time around. Her eldest is an adorable and talkative boy turning three this July. So, we eagerly headed to Gilmore Avenue to have a taste of what the town had been madly talking about.
Here’s the verdict: Huge slices of dory fish, deep fried to a crisp was exceedingly tasty! It also came with a slice of fresh lemon I squeezed onto it that surprisingly gave a delightful flavor. The freshly made fries were something that we enjoyed, accompanied by the non-stop chatter and laughter. The fish went well with the two dips included in the order; however eating it plain was also a good option to have a better taste of its unique marinate and batter.
Their buffalo chicken wings (one dozen) was very spicy-good, served with crunchy veggie sticks (not in the photo) comprising of celery, carrots and turnip.
I am not so fond of beef; yet I was tempted to taste the Black Angus Burger that complemented my taste buds. The patty was tender, and its flavor even better with a slice of mozzarella cheese, tomato, onion and lettuce. This dish came along with abundant fried potatoes as well. It was really delicious!
The Fries ala Nachos was ordered by my older nephew. It was a huge serving with all the toppings and ingredients, making it taste like a real nacho only potato fries this time. This was loaded with calories; I dare not touch which he savored until the last piece! And I will definitely invite my parents soon for another round of delightful food that won't hurt our health once in a while.
