Happy 2014 dear friends! How was your Christmas and New Year celebrations? I bet you have enlisted your resolutions and prayerfully attain them despite the occasional temptations to veer away from it. Funny how, until this day, I find myself reflecting over the year that was and the many more things I would like to do in the coming months.
I am happy with how I am faring with my life though I admit, mine is not perfect. I continue to struggle with my imperfections daily but I manage to add a tinge of humor to it too. Before the year ended, our good Lord gave me an unexpected gift. I was selected from more than 4,000 tutors to be a speaking test examiner and there are only 16 of us! I passed the initial and second interview, is now done with the 10-hour training but I pray that I'd use my judgement appropriately especially when scoring my students, which is the toughest part. My trainer assured me that with sufficient exposure, I'd be able to differentiate and see the clear lines from an advance, intermediate and beginner students (the latter though is easy to identify).
I unexpectedly found the list below which I find simple but meaningful while surfing the net. I'd like to absolutely exercise more and I am underscoring this item (#3). Due to work and prioritizing other things more (which are often my reasons to put this at the bottom of my to-do-list) I have failed to keep myself fit though I am considerably healthy. Similarly, I'd like to be more adventurous and explore more (#7) places. I know that traveling requires money but if we save and plan for it; then traveling is very possible.
I'm sure you have created your own list or your goals too to start 2014. I'd be delighted to hear them!
