Hanamaruken Ramen: Enjoying Osaka's Best

We were treated by my brother, Bobot to a satisfying lunch. His generosity enabled us to enjoy the hype about this Japanese restaurant and to experience its distinct difference from the rest. So I was at my happiest today because the meal was on him!

The interior was distinctly Japanese - with wooden furniture and Asian inspired decor hanged on the walls. The place was also spacious, clean and well lighted. I found the lamps made of wire an interesting piece near the glass-wall and more pieces of kitchen utensils were conspicuously displayed. Similarly, traditional Japanese music played in the background. What I disliked though was the staff greeting loudly its every customer in Japanese language whenever they entered the restaurant. Why?!

Ebi Tempura Php380

Karaage Php220

Happiness Rice Bowl Php250

Salary Man Chahan Php225

Signature Happiness Ramen Php480 - to die for!
Two people can share from a single order because the bowl was huge, including its content. The broth was flavorful; the pork very tender.

Their version of ebi tempura was generous in quantity and size compared to other Japanese restaurants we've tried and it wasn't just flour. It was an explosion of fresh and sweet ebi.

Their service was quick. Admittedly food here was excellent. However we were not given 20% discount even after showing three (3) senior and PWD IDs. The discount came close to 7%. The total bill was Php3,234.50. Php230.38 was only deducted! The management should have a copy of the Magna Carta Law for both the senior citizens and the persons with disabilities and comply to give the appropriate discount.
