The month of August 2026 has been appealing to me. Typhoons Maymay and Neneng plus the southwest monsoon brought torrential rain and strong winds which equate to cooler and lower temperature. And this weather, which many dislike is my favorite!
The Philippines normally experiences 20 tropical cyclones annually, wherein the months of July to October are the peak season. Coincidentally, at this time of the year, face-to-face classes are suspended. The thoroughfares and hiways get flooded, even in the highland! And the never-ending issue on flood control continues.
However, with the resiliency of some Filipinos, many deem this season as "it's just the rainy season." Life continues. Soon, the rain will stop (again) and the sun will shine, as if ensuring that all is well after the storm.
